CCLS Receives Future Earth Grant

The CCLS has received a Future Earth PEGASuS 3 ‘Take it further’ Grant.

The competitive Future Earth  ‘Take it further’ Grant affords CCLS the opportunity to continue their work started in the CITYFOOD project and work with project collaborators from the University of Washington, University of Gothenburg, University of Technology Sydney, University of Kent, and Deakin University to further investigate the sustainable integration of aquaponics and aquaculture in the context of the food-water-energy nexus. In this interdisciplinary research project, the CCLS is documenting and investigating best practices, new trends, current challenges, and opportunities for innovation in aquaponics and aquaculture. The team is conducting interviews with commercial aquaponics and aquaculture practitioners in North America, Europe and Australia. This survey is complemented by experimental work conducted by the University of Gothenburg team, and collaborative policy review investigations with all project collaborators.
