Gabrielle Rivera

Gabrielle Rivera holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Hispanic Studies from Macalester College and a M.S. in Food, Agriculture, and Environment from Tufts University, Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. Her research interests center on exploring the intersection of food and themes of social justice, environmental stewardship, and health equity. Gabrielle has collaborated with research teams at the University of Minnesota and Tufts University investigating topics including nutrition incentive programs, local food policy, regional grain networks, and online grocery shopping to support prevention of diet-related disease. As a Global Sustainability Scholar Fellow, she works with the CCLS on documenting the network of diverse urban agriculture operations in Chicago, IL and is enthusiastic about the potential for transdisciplinary research to support building a more resilient and equitable food system.
